ComputerGOD 1.00
User Manual
Table of Contents
ComputerGOD is a remote computer surveillance
and control application. It can extract and create thorough reports of PC
activities. ComputerGOD records all keystrokes, email being checked on a PC,
web-based and application based passwords, both sides of instant message chat
conversations, details of the applications opened on the PC, along with snap
shots of the screen taken periodically.
In addition, ComputerGOD can control most functions of a remote
computer. It can restart, shutdown, and
logoff a computer, send chat messages,
control the remote computer’s desktop and mouse, transfer files, and make the
remote computer talk any words. ComputerGOD is divided into two parts: one acts
as the host and another as a controller. The host is installed on the computer
that needs to be monitored and controlled remotely and controller connects to
and monitors the host computer from a remote computer. ComputerGOD is also designed to allow a user
to monitor and control multiple computers from a single computer.
1.)
ComputerGOD allows parents,
spouses, and employers to monitor computer activities from a remote location.
2.)
ComputerGOD allows a user
to easily connect to a remote computer to transfer files and perform multiple
actions on a remote computer..
The primary user of the application will use the
controller. He will be able to connect to the host computer remotely, control
it, and view the tasks of the host computer whenever required.
The major benefits of ComputerGOD include:
1. The ComputerGOD host runs in stealth so the host
user will never know that the application is running on its PC, as the
application will not be visible in the task manager. Also, all recorded information will be encrypted
and hidden on the host computer.
2. It records the necessary information that needs
to be logged i.e. passwords, website visited, chat conversations, screenshots,
all opened application, recording of emails etc.
3. It has the option of connecting to the host
computer remotely, view and control the host computer.
4. ComputerGOD has the capability of getting
installed remotely on the host computer. It can be sent via email as a security
patch or other file and it will be installed on the host PC without any
notification to the PC user.
5. Another feature of ComputerGOD is sending voice
messages to remote PCs over the network. The voice messages can be sent to any
number of PCs on the network. Also, you
can make multiple PCs talk at the same time.
This section guides the user to operate
ComputerGOD and explains its concepts. ComputerGOD is divided into two parts:
1. Controller: This part views
reports and controls a host computer from a remote computer. The downloaded file is called
ComputerGOD-Controller.exe.
2. Host: This part is
installed on the computer that needs to be monitored and controlled
remotely. The downloaded file is called
ComputerGOD-Host.exe.
Installation on a
Single Computer

Installation over the
Internet
Installation
over the Internet is a little more difficult.
You will need to configure the Host with the controller’s IP
address. Please follow the below steps
carefully if you wish to do this.
1. After
purchasing ComputerGOD, download the file CGSetup.zip from the download
page. Download this file to a place on
your computer where you can easily access it through Windows Explorer.
2. Use a zip
file extractor to create a folder with the file’s contents. If you need a zip file extractor, you can
download and install one for free at www.winzip.com. Once installed, right click the zip file, and
choose “Extract to folder…” to create a folder with the zip file’s contents.
3. Double
click the folder you created then double click the ComputerGOD-Controller.exe
on the computer you wish to view the reports and control other computers. Follow the steps for the controller
installation.
4. You will
need to distribute 2 files to the computers you wish to monitor and
control. The first file is
ComputerGOD-Host.exe. The second file is
cfg.hcf. The
file cfg.hcf needs to be opened in Notepad or any
other text editor. Enter and save the IP
address of the computer with the controller installed on it. You can obtain your IP address by going to
the website (http://www.whatismyip.com/).
5. ComputerGOD-Host.exe
and cfg.hcf need to be distributed in the same folder
and ran on each computer you wish to monitor and control across the
Internet. How the files are transferred
across the Internet is up to you. You
are allowed to rename ComputerGOD-Host.exe.
However, the two files must be in the same folder for successful
installation. After installation of the
host, the Host computer will periodically ping the controller’s IP and try to
establish a connection across the Internet when the controller is open.
6. The
software is now installed. To view the
recorded information and control the host computers remotely, double click the
ComputerGOD controller shortcut icon on your desktop and enter the password you
chose during the installation.

any of these buttons, the user has to select the particular hosts in the host
section then click the logoff, shutdown, or restart button.
The
controller can configure the logging options of the host computer as well as
schedule recording times. The settings section is segmented into 2 parts:
In this section,
the controller can configure the host computer. After clicking this button, the
following screen will be displayed:

Logging: The controller can specify what will be
recorded. For example, if the user is interested in looking at the chat conversation
only and not in tracking email passwords or the running applications, this can
be accomplished. By default, everything will be logged, but if required the
controller can change it by checking the check boxes shown above.
Set log file path: On clicking this button, the following
screen will be displayed where the controller can set the path of the log files
which will be created on the host’s PC.

Keywords: The controller can enter particular phrases
and words in this section. If the user is interested in monitoring certain
activity, this can be accomplished. For
example, a user might enter “I hate my job” as a keyword and whenever it
appears in a log report, it’ll be shown in the keywords section of the
information viewer. This helps the user to find out particular information more
effectively and quickly rather than browsing through all the reports. On
clicking ‘Set Keyword’ button the following screen will be displayed:

Here he can
add a new keyword or remove the existing keywords.
Screen Capture: ComputerGOD can capture the screenshots
of the host computer. The user can define the time as well as the limit in the
number of screen captures. Defining time creates pauses between screen captures
on the host computer. The minimum time
limit can be 1 minute and maximum is 600 minutes. The minimum number of
captures that can be taken is 1 and the maximum is 12.
Set Password: On clicking this
button, the below screen will be displayed where the user can set the password.
He has to provide the old password and the new password.

After
clicking this button, the following screen will be displayed where the user can
schedule times to record information. By default, the application starts
logging as the system starts. This may create
a huge log file which requires a lot of space. To avoid logging all the time,
the controller can specify a particular time when the activities of the host
application will be logged.

The
controller can send voice messages to the host, chat with the host, transfer files from the host computer, and control the
desktop of the host computer. Misc section is segmented into four parts:
The
controller can send voice messages to the remote PCs over the network. The
voice messages can be sent to any number of PCs on the network in a single go.
